Tipp's Tip: Broken Bells

I have been developing a true love of music that is melodic and light on the trancey vibe.

If you have an inkling for this kind of music the primer I recommend is the Soundtrack to the film “Garden State.”  It features some favorite groups of mine like: Zero 7 and The Shins and is chock full of great music.  I say The Garden State s/t is the contemporary version of “The Big Chill” s/t, swear I just said it yesterday.

Broken Bells is a group formed by musician producer Danger Mouse (one half of Gnarls Barkley “Crazy”) and James Mercer of The Shins.  Here are the three songs that I absolutely love on this debut album: The Ghost Inside – October – and the lead single The High Road (video link below).  I could go on and on but isn’t it best if the music speaks for itself?
