Here’s a blast from my past.  In the early ‘90’s I was working for Reprise Records doing Alternative Radio promotion.  I worked with a lot of great bands and lots of great music but I came across this Rolling Stone cover today and was moved in a number of ways.  Wow, this most lovely of bands that we had some really big success with was on the Cover of Rolling Stone?  I remember going away for the winter holidays and we had shipped the single “Feed The Tree” out to radio.  When we came back in the New Year this was on its way to becoming an alternative radio hit.  The album “Star” went Gold and was nominated for two Grammy’s.  That kind of sales success you could not duplicate today.  It was another time for sure.  A really good time though!
