At the Janss Marketplace
By: Regina Cordell
The public is invited to ten bone chilling nights at Janss Marketplace, located at 215 North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, for the Reign of Terror Haunted House. The Reign of Terror Haunted House will be open every Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-29 as well as Sunday, Oct. 30, and Monday, Oct. 31, from 7-10 PM, and on Saturdays and Monday, Halloween night hours will be from 7-11 PM. Also, this year the haunted house will host two days of special “Lights On” tours for the community’s youth and true haunt enthusiasts on Saturday, Oct. 22 and 29, from 1-4 PM. Visit www.rothauntedhouse.com for information about this nationally ranked haunted house.
What began by Reign of Terror creator Bruce Stanton as a front yard haunted house is now ranked by Fear.net and HauntedAttractions.com as one of the top 10 haunts in the U.S., and this year The Reign of Terror will offer its new attraction “Blood Manor,” and it will be an additional 800 square feet and scarier than ever at Janss Marketplace.
Profits from the $13 admission ticket sales will help Conejo Recreation and Park District youth programs including The Young Artists Ensemble and The Thousand Oaks Teen Center.
Visit www.janssmarketplace.net for information on advance ticket sales and for information on current and future center events. Tickets may also be purchased at the on-site box office during haunted house hours.
