The Grammy Nominations just came out and while the Grammy’s are a mix of malarkey and honor….  the band Phoenix was nominated in the Alternative Artist category.  Let me ask you a key question, when was the last time you heard a band from France?  I was thinking Plastic Bertrand (“Ça plane pour moi”) but he is from Belgium.  Phoenix is going to end up on a lot of 2009 Best Of lists so check them out.  This clip from David Letterman’s Late Show is classic, Letterman can barely get the “from France” out and he doesn’t get it out straight!

Heads Will Roll.” One absolute truism of music is what goes around comes around, or, it’s all been done before, or, insert your favorite cliché here!  This song sounds so much like Missing Persons that it isn’t funny.  But it is still one of the great songs on the radio today.  Enjoy, we know the truth, and the kids think it is all their own!
