beach in india

Westward Beach is a terrific sandy beach which lies adjacent to the more famous Zuma Beach. I love walking or jogging on Westward, meeting  friends and people walking their dogs on the road. One of the fun things about my jaunts is that I never know what surprise event will be happening down there.  Yesterday I was approaching the headlands when I observed a well dressed elephant walking on the beach! The comedy series “Outsourced” was shooting a scene on the sand and suddenly I was in India.

The beach is often the location for movie and television shoots including NCIS , as well as an assortment of television commercials. The area of the beach where the cliffs meet the sand (so popular with climbers), is also a favorite of fashion photographers.

I have also observed many weddings on the sands of Westward. The Sunset restaurant offers catering for couples who decide to have their wedding on WestwardIMG_0106 Beach. The Sunset is open for lunch on Fridays and brunch Saturday and Sunday, as well as dinner 7 nights a week. So if you are taking a sunset walk , watching whales or movie shoots there is a great ocean front stop for dinner or a cocktail.
