Snow and Santa too!

Ice skating at the beach returns to the Bluff’s Park in Malibu On Sunday December 12th! Celebrating it’s 2nd season following its successful debut in 2009 the event will also include vendors, entertainment, and ice sculpting demonstrations.
The rink, which is filled with eco-friendly Hybrid-ice, will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM for skating. Skaters will pay $5 for a 20 minute skating session and $5 for skate rentals. The Harry Barovsky Memorial Youth Foundation will host a special skate session for teens that day from 6-7 PM and the $5 fee will include skate rental. Donations of unwrapped toys for the Spark of Love toy drive may be brought to the event. The donors will receive a coupon for a free hot beverage. Winter wonderland will also be in Malibu at the Country Mart and other shopping centers every Saturday from Thanksgiving through Christmas featuring real snow! The festivities, which are presented by the merchants and the Malibu Chamber of Commerce. Include a snowman building contest, cookie decorating and visits with Santa. This is also the 48th year of the Keep Christ in Christmas’ caroling events at the Creche each year at the corner of PCH and Webb Way. The events are sponsored by many of the Malibu Churches and are scheduled for the four Sundays of Advent beginning this Sunday 12/28 at 3 PM. Refreshments will be served and participants are reminded to dress for the weather.
