FANTASY FOOTBALL 8 BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS?fantasy-Football

Around the water coolers and coffee machines this morning, by far the most popular question was, how did your fantasy team do this week? My response was this, “one of my teams won and one of them lost.” Fantasy Football has gone main stream. Once an elusive boys club, even my girlfriend has a fantasy football team this year! I even heard one of the girls at the office say “That cute guy on my fantasy team really sucked this week”.

This summer, as I was determining which fantasy league I would conquer this season, I read an article which talked about not having fantasy football in 2011. I was shocked and scared! I could not imagine not spending two hours on Saturday night perfecting my Sunday line up. The article spoke of fantasy football advertising and jobs to be in a staggering neighborhood of 8 billion! Now that, I believe.

If the powers that be think that the system needs revision or adjustment, I disagree. Fantasy football is so easy to understand even the ladies are into it. Not having Fantasy football in 2011 might send this country into a recession so deep it would take us having to sell the U.S. to the Chinese to recover. Oh, wait we already did that. Good Luck tonight all you Aaron Rodgers fans.

Keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times! We are in for a wild ride. Santa Barbara Ca, The National Weather Service in Los Angeles reported yesterday that Santa Barbara has set a new record for its coolest summer ever recorded. The average summer temperature was 61.9 this summer, which surpasses the old record of 62.2 that was set in the summer of 1955. Los Angeles also had a very cool summer, recording their second coolest summer ever in 2010.This years average of 65.4, was just slightly above the record of 65.0 set in 1948.

All over Southern California, records fell for the coolest months every recorded. In Calabasas we reached temperatures over 100 degrees in August, but overall the average temperature was 2 degrees cooler than normal. Agoura Hills also had brief heat wave in August, but was well below average temperatures for the entire summer.

Considering all the attention given to “Global Warming” over the past 20 years, in hindsight, we should have named it the Global Meltdown. We have experienced new records in regards to temperatures, earthquakes, and hurricanes. The Planet is having a meltdown. I think we should expect to see extreme temps and wild weather related events almost every day! I just pray for better surf while the ship is going down.
