Utilizing Your Living Room

The Living Room is not obsolete; it has just changed into a more relaxed
atmosphere. No longer is it the roped off area, soley designated for company.
No longer is it looked at but not touched. Bring it into 2010
and unwrap the furniture. The new way to enjoy your living room is to add a
T.V. to the room and the room will finally be used. No longer do we have a
big, awkward T.V but a slim flat screen, barely noticeable to be enjoyed
in your new room.  Some flat screens double as mirrors or art when not in
use.

The family room is where the toys, kids, the Wii and games remain but the
living room is where the adults can quietly watch their programs….finally!
If you are considering redecorating, try something more casual.
You may even want to put a small desk in there to put your laptop on as well….
come on, be daring, enjoy the room.

…is offering a new program for the PRE-kindergartners. This is for our pre Willow and Yerba Buena children. It is for the children that are on the age cusp for kindergarten, a bit too young for kindergarten and a bit too old for pre-school, they turn 5 between July 1-Dec.1st. Sumac and Lupin Hill had the program last year and it has now been added to White Oak Elementary in Westlake.

It is scheduled from 8:00-1:00 M-F and they are preparing them for kindergarten rather than another year of pre-school. Last year was the first year and the parents are raving about the program. After a year in the Journey’s program, most students will enter traditional Kindergarten although some may be eligible for 1st grade. It is open to all Las Virgenes families. It is just another way our schools are working to better the education program. Hats off to
Las Virgenes Schools.
