The market has a large selection of kosher meats, chicken and fish. It offers a great variety of well priced fresh produce and a considerable array of Mediterranean and Middle
Eastern foods. There is an area which offers fresh sandwiches, falafels, schwarma, Israeli salads, as well as a terrific bakery serving coffee and cappuccino. It’s a treat to have all of these choices now in the West Valley.

Joining the elite group of award winning schools in West Hills is Hamlin Elementary School. This year Hamlin Elementary will be designated as a National Blue Ribbon School. This is the country’s top honor for schools.

To be in the exclusive club the students need to meet the federal government’s goals in reading and math and have impressive increases in test scores. Hard work and a commitment to the students has paid off for Principal Victoria Christie, her staff, teachers and families of the school.
